Trivia

The film was infamous for having four different versions of the film (US theatrical, European, Director's and US TV). Each of them included deleted/extended scenes as well as scenes that were re-edited in a different order, depending on what version the viewer watched. The one that had the most restored scenes was the 90-minute US TV version. All of these versions have been compiled in a boxset that was released in both the US and Germany. See more »

Ash: [back to monologue] I had a wonderful girlfriend Linda. Together we drove to a small cabin in the mountains. It seems an archeologist had come to this remote place to translate and study his latest find...

Comedy and horror rolled into one
2 June 2000 | by (Ardmore, PA) – See all my reviews

Okay, maybe it's more comedy than horror, but who cares? Army of Darkness is an awesome movie. Bruce Campbell does an excellent job as Ash, the arrogant and hilarious hero armed with his trusty chainsaw and 'boom stick'. The plot was great and fresh, showing that the people behind the scenes were not trying to do the same thing that made Evil Dead I & II popular. The movie is filled with sword swinging skeletons, kick boxing witches and slap stick. Bruce Campbell has some excellent one liners. To sum it up, Army of Darkness is groovy.

But you can let it end here. Give us another sequel please.
