A Nickelodeon Cartoon Showed a Topless Woman's Breasts and Parents Are Upset

There’s a reason they call it the boob tube. (And it actually has nothing to do with this: The word “boob” is old-time slang for a foolish or stupid person, so the phrase was bashing TV and the people who watched it. Still...)

In a March 5 episode of the animated show Oggy and the Cockroaches called “(Un)happy Camper,” Nickelodeon showed a cartoon picture of a woman with big sunglasses, bigger lips, and the biggest naked boobs we’ve ever seen on a children’s show.

Parents were not pleased. Here’s the Nsfw screen capture:

News: Here are 7 cartoons from the ‘90s that we’d love to see rebooted

Oggy and the Cockroaches is a French cartoon from the ‘90s -- it’s about a cat named Oggy who is constantly tormented by three cockroaches, in the vein of Tom and Jerry -- and it started re-airing on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons last month.

7 '90s Kids Cartoons We'd Like to Reboot

25 February 2015 7:37 PM, PST | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

On the heels of Disney Xd's DuckTales revival, and Netflix bringing back Inspector Gadget and Danger Mouse, we started thinking about other cartoons that could be due for a reboot.

News: DuckTales is Coming Back to TV!

Here's seven animated series we're starting to feel nostalgia for that could give joy to a new generation.

1. Darkwing Duck: The feel of the show isn't that far away from Inspector Gadget, and who doesn't like a masked superhero?

2. Rocko's Modern Life: The humor of this show was pretty sophisticated for a cartoon, giving it an appeal to kids and parents alike.

3. Dexter's Laboratory: If The Powerpuff Girls could get a reboot, surely we should get the chance to see Dexter back in his lab. The brother-sister/odd couple comedy duo of a mad scientist child and his annoying sister Dee Dee is one of the best of all time.

4. Johnny Bravo: »

Back in June, Cartoon Network announced that they are moving forward with a new version of the hit animated series The Powerpuff Girls, which will debut in 2016. Here's an excerpt from today's Cartoon Network press release regarding The Powerpuff Girls triumphant return.

"Slated for a 2016 launch, The Powerpuff Girls reboot will include an all-new television series produced by Cartoon Network Studios and a full licensing program slated to roll out across all regions. One of the network's most enduring original series, The Powerpuff Girls, which debuted on Cartoon Network in 1998, earned two Emmy&#174 Awards, five nominations and countless animation honors throughout its 78-episode run. The Powerpuff Girls centers on three sugar-coated superheroes -- Blossom, Bubbles and »
