Oh, man. If you aren't in the holiday spirit after watching this video, nothing's gonna do it for you. CBS has posted a mash-up video of every performance the great Darlene Love has done on The Late Show with David Letterman. Every year since 1986 (with the exception of writers' strike year 2007), Love has appeared on the last episode of the calendar year and performs her "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" and every year it's amazing. This video captures all the appearances with the many different back-up vocalists, saxophone entrances, and hairstyles and it's all great. Enjoy! »

A Woman on a 'Mission:' Meet Tom Cruise

20 December 2011 4:00 PM, PST | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

View Gallery » My mission this week, which I chose for myself and had no problem accepting, was to Meet. Tom. Cruise.

After a little research, it looked like said mission was totally possible. The cast of "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" – Tom included – would be making the rounds at the "Today" show, "Late Show With David Letterman" and, of course, the New York City red carpet premiere.

When I arrived bright and early and freezing cold to "Today," Paula Patton was already there signing autographs and posing for pictures. It was a little more chaotic than usual but she handled it like a champ, though I didn't get anywhere near her to ask for a picture.

Simon Pegg arrived shortly after Patton was inside, and I managed to grab him for a picture on his way inside. I was off to a great start!

About 40 minutes later, Patton was leaving, so »

Mitt Romney Delivers the Top Ten List on ‘Letterman’

20 December 2011 6:36 AM, PST | Speakeasy/Wall Street Journal | See recent Speakeasy/Wall Street Journal news »

Gop presidential candidate Mitt Romney stopped by “The Late Show with David Letterman” to deliver the Top Ten list. Number ten on the list: “Isn’t it time for a president who looks like a 1970s game show host?” Maybe it’s our imagination, but the candidate looked a bit pained as he said number ten: “What’s up Gangstas–It’s the M-i-Double-Tizzle.” And number two was a shot at a fellow candidate: “Newt Gingrich, Really?” Was the bit funny? »

Mitt Romney Delivers Letterman’s Top 10 Things Mitt Romney Wants To Say To American People

19 December 2011 9:25 PM, PST | Mediaite - TV | See recent Mediaite - TV news »

As frontrunner Newt Gingrich's poll numbers descend from their former lunar colony heights, slow-and-steady Gop presidential candidate Mitt Romney is poised to capitalize on his rival's stumble. In a shrewd move, with shrewd timing, the former Massachusetts Governor appeared on The Late Show Monday night to deliver host David Letterman's Top Ten List. Romney's performance was characteristically wooden, but achieved the desired humanizing effect, and distilled at least one essential truth. »

Tom Cruise Has Katie Holmes by His Side For a Sexy MI4 NYC Premiere

19 December 2011 4:36 PM, PST | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Tom Cruise hit the red carpet for the NYC premiere of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol in a sexy dark suit. He's been traveling around the world with costar Paula Patton to promote the action film, and now the duo are showing off their exciting project in the Big Apple. Tom had wife Katie Holmes by his side this evening, though, and she looked gorgeous in a sheer short dress. Tom's MI4 comes out in just a few days, but his release isn't the only big news for the Holmes-Cruise family. Katie celebrated her 33rd birthday over the weekend and spent the day with Tom and their daughter Suri. She was back out in the city for brunch with a friend at Bubby's earlier today while Tom prepped for an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman. View Slideshow › »

Scarlett Johansson Nude Photo Leak "Unfortunate"

18 December 2011 7:26 AM, PST | National Ledger | See recent National Ledger news »

It looks like Scarlett Johansson is finally able to see the funny side after a hacker leaked naked pictures of her online, as the actress has joked about the snaps on Us TV. Saucy pictures of the star emerged online in September. And now, a few months on, Scarlett has spoken about the leaked photos in an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last week on Monday where she described the incident as 'unfortunate.' Johansson said: "Somebody stole my nudie photos. They were out there for all the world to see. Which was, uh, unfortunate, really." The 27-year old said, who recently revealed the naked photos were meant for ex-husband Ryan Reynolds, then described the picture leak as 'creepy', before saying: "I don't know why I'm laughing. It was terrible." The alleged hacker behind the incident was arrested in October and charged with accessing the email accounts »

Bill O’Reilly Lands Bill Clinton As Guest

16 December 2011 10:04 AM, PST | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

Fox News Channel’s Bill O'Reilly just got a nice Christmas gift, landing his first interview with former President Bill Clinton. It will air during The O’Reilly Factor next Tuesday. O’Reilly had been pursuing Clinton since he launched The Factor 15 years ago. On CBS’ Late Show With David Letterman in October, O’Reilly said that “there are only two guys that wouldn’t come on, we’ve got everybody else — Clinton and (Dick) Cheney.” Asked by Letterman about a potential Clinton appearance, O’Reilly said, “we’re negotiating; I would love to have him.” He just got his wish, with the two Bills set to discuss the Obama administration, the Republican presidential campaign and Clinton’s new book, Back to Work, among other topics, in their first sit-down. With Clinton booked, former Vice President Dick Cheney now remains the only holdout. Why wouldn’t he talk to O’Reilly? »

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

16 December 2011 6:00 AM, PST | The Scorecard Review | See recent Scorecard Review news »

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Directed by: Guy Ritchie

Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Jared Harris, Noomi Rapace

Running Time: 2 hrs 9 mins

Rating: PG-13

Release Date: December 16, 2011

Plot: Sherlock Holmes (Downey Jr.) and his sidekick Dr. Watson (Jude Law) are thrown together once again. This time they must try and defeat the infamous Professor Moriarty (Harris).

Who’S It For? If you saw and kind of liked the 2009 film, this should do the trick. There is definitely plenty of action, which for some is completely out of place for Sherlock Holmes.

Expectations: Without double-checking, I think I gave the 2009 film a 6/10, and thought it lacked a decent villain. I was hoping that wouldn’t be the case for this one.

Scorecard (0-10)

Actors:

Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes: This character is a nice fit for Downey Jr., especially when Holmes gets a little harebrained. I like »
