When the pilot for "Girl Meets World" airs on The Disney Channel, star Danielle Fishel says
"Boy Meets World" fans are going to be thrilled by a surprise cameo.
"There is a very, very, very, special guest star in the pilot," Danielle - who was ranked number 27 on Maxim's Hot 100 list - told Access Hollywood at the Maxim Hot 100 event in Los Angeles on Wednesday. "So when the pilot episode airs, you will have something to look forward to for sure.
"Trust me - people will know," she added with a smile. "The ...

Maxim may have given Miley Cyrus the #1 spot on the Hot 100 list -- but at last night's party for the issue, she looked a hot mess. While the singer kept it cute and simple in a white and black jumpsuit and stripped gold and black heels, it was her makeup that caught our attention.Though her hair and top half of her face were on point, she was sporting a Joker-esque chin and mouth -- which was covered in white powder. HD Makeup is likely the culprit here, as it often photographs white, but the irony of Cyrus looking less-than-hot at a Hot 100 party isn't lost on us.The bash was packed with other Hollywood hotties -- including Kellie Pickler, "Boy Meets World" star Danielle Fishel, Kendra Wilkinson, Pia Toscano -- and guys like Brad Pitt doppelganger Chord Overstreet and "Jerry Maguire" kid Jonathan Lipnicki.Check out all the pics »

In an era of television where we are looking backwards in order to move forwards, shows like "Arrested Development" are being brought back, "Boy Meets World" is being rehashed and "Firefly" is...well, "Firefly" isn't coming back. Whether this is due to a lack of creativity or just wanting to capitalize on a popular series, Fox is considering the idea of bringing back Jack Bauer for a short run of the hit counter terrorism series "24". When the series ended in 2010, the show was bringing in big ratings (though still below its peak numbers) and left fans without a definitive ending with hopes to continue the story with a feature film. Reports are that series. executive producer, Howard Gordon, is »

Darren Criss belts out “Fresh Prince”, “Boy Meets World” and others on cue.
His depth of knowledge is prodigious when it comes to TV themes from the eighties and nineties, as is apparent from this video via Buzzfeed.
Does it seem like he treats not knowing the 7th Heaven theme as a badge of honor?

Good morning!
Last night in New York, the annual Met Ball went down with the theme of "Punk: Chaos to Couture" and some of the best looks came from queer women. (Of course!)

The New Yorker has two moms on the cover of this week's issue. Gotta love it.
Kirsten Vangsness reportedly turned down an offer for another season of Criminal Minds because her male co-stars are getting paid more than she and her female castmates. Of course there's room for negotiation, but I can't imagine that show without Garcia. Give her what she's worth!

Danielle Fishel turns 32 years old today! Can you believe it's been 13 years since the beloved show "Boy Meets World" went off the air? Danielle played Topanga Lawrence and she was definitely one of the "It" girls of the '90s. The highly anticipated spin-off series "Girl Meets World" is set to air some time this year, and both Danielle and Ben Savage will reprise their roles. And the years have been kind to Danielle. The actress recently covered Maxim magazine and reminded us that she's still a total babe. How has the rest of the Tgif crew fared? Thursday night marked the end of another successful season of "Parks and Recreation" and although we now know Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott and more as lovable Pawnee citizens, they all came from humble (and hilarious) beginnings.

Upon hearing news of Girl Meets World, I set about re-watching episodes of Boy Meets World to mark the occasion, as well as to gorge myself on nostalgia. My trek back through the series started with me picking episodes out at random, a practice I soon abandoned for fear that it was doing the show an injustice. Infamous for its lack of continuity though it may be – brothers and sisters long since forgotten about, characters vanishing, other characters portrayed by a revolving door of actors, history being rewritten – Boy Meets World functions best when its characters are given the chance to take root inside your heart and you step back to watch them grow.
At first, I couldn’t resist the temptation to hop around to some extent, wanting to hit on all the major arcs without having to sit through the series from start to finish. That soon gave »

A "My So-Called Life" reunion is finally happening ... but there's a catch.
Wilson Cruz (Rickie Vasquez), Devon Odessa (Sharon Cherski), Bess Armstrong (Patty Chase), Devon Gummersall (Brian Krakow) and creator Winnie Holzman will gather together at the second annual Atx Television Festival in Austin, Texas this June.
Sadly, stars Claire Danes (Angela Chase), Jared Leto (Jordan Catalano), A.J. Langer (Rayanne Graff), Tom Irwin (Graham Chase) and Lisa Wilhoit (Danielle Chase) are noticeably absent from the list of cast members who will be a part of the "My So-Called Life" reunion.
The coming-of-age series only lasted one season, but its legacy has lived on. "My So-Called Life," which still has a cult following, launched Danes' career and earned her a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy nomination at the ripe old age of 15.
"We had an uphill battle and there were a lot of elements that led to its demise," Cruz »

Disney Channel's keeping itself in the franchise revival business.
Not only is the cable network developing an update of "Boy Meets World" that, based on the public fascination over it, is sure to go to series, but its announced that it is bringing back a contemporary, family version of the classic game show "Win, Lose or Draw."
The show is set to go into production in July, with Justin Willman ("Cupcake Wars") as host. Each episode will feature two teams of made up of two kid contestants paired with a Disney star "competing in a battle of drawing skills, creativity and wits to win prizes."
The revival, due to premiere later this year, will incorporate leading edge technology, motion control, interactive multi-touch screen displays and graphic technology into the drawing board and game play.
The original "Win, Lose or Draw" aired on NBC from 1987-90 and in syndication. Disney's "Teen Win, »

Marta Kauffman says ‘there’s no need’ to reunite the iconic sitcom’s cast. Are you bummed?
Rumors of a Friends reunion have existed since before the NBC comedy even aired its final episode in 2004, and while the show’s stars — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer — have always remained coy about potentially reuniting, co-creator Marta Kauffman is pulling no punches in a new interview.
“I’m going to clear this up; it’s not happening!” Marta told E! Online at the April 16 screening of Lifetime’s Call Me Crazy. “Friends was about that time in your life when your friends are your family, and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore.”
Marta was specifically responding to a new rumor, spawned by website Star Media, that the cast was planning to reunite for an entirely new season of the show. »

Another Tgif alum has joined the cast of the Disney Channel pilot "Girl Meets World," the sequel series to "Boy Meets World." Jackee Harry, who starred on "Sister, Sister," has signed on to play an unknown role in the pilot, which hopes to go to series in the fall, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
Previously announced for the pilot are stars from the original series, Ben Savage(Cory), Danielle Fishel (Topanga), and William Daniels (Mr. Feeny). "Sister, Sister" didn't spend long in the Friday night lineup, only running in the programming block during its first season, but "Boy Meets World" stuck around for its entire seven-year run.
"Girl Meets World" follows Riley (Rowan Blanchard), the daughter of Cory and Topanga, as she goes through school, much like the original show did with her father. Joining Blanchard are Teo Halm, who plays her older brother Elliot, and Sabrina Carpenter as her best friend Maya. »

All kinds of cast reunions have been happening lately, with Courteney Cox visiting Matthew Perry on Go On, Entertainment Weekly bringing the stars of Clueless and Melrose Place, among others, back together for photoshoots and Boy Meets World is even getting its own spin-off 13 years after going off-air. This led me to pose this week's Huddle question: What former cast members would you die to see reunite?
Emily Hartl: Roseanne, especially after the last episode's big reveals. The whole Mark and Darlene/Becky and David switch up? Dan's Death? Jackie Is Actually A Lesbian?! I want all of the answers. I also want the Roseanne Halloween Exclusive DVD box set.
Sarah Terez Rosenblum: Family Ties, but can Nick be a dyke?
Marcie Bianco: Duh, Buffy!

Ah, nostalgia for the '90s, that bygone era when rock stars wore flannel and Friday nights were for cheesy sitcoms! It now seems that we could get a reunion for Tgif mainstay, "Step by Step." One of its stars, Patrick Duffy, is apparently all for bringing the Lambert-Foster clan back together.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Duffy revealed his idea for bringing "Step by Step" back. "I would love to work with Suzanne [Somers] again," Duffy said. "The 'Step by Step' cast was so wonderful to be with. They were my family, and I think a little two-hour special about where these people are -- not a documentary but actually doing a show -- seeing where they all come to over the years. It would be so fun to play that goofy Frank Lambert character again, aging another 25 years."
Obviously, Duffy has been thinking about this. »
