Storyline

Paul Gigante leaves the FBI to be a detective for the rural Bakersfield, California P.D. But the sophisticated Gigante (Giancarlo Esposito, Do the Right Thing (1989)) has more trouble trading opera for the Bakersfield Sound, than he imagined. To his bored fellow officers, especially not-so-good old boy Denny Boyer ('Chris Mulkey' of Twin Peaks (1990)), the professional, dedicated city slicker's way harder to figure out than even the most diabolical cow-napping. I still laugh about that show
21 April 2001 | by See all my reviews

It was a crime that this show had no support and fell away.

I still laugh about Wade and his personal "soundtrack" and a few other stories I remember from it.

But the episode which ends with the mugging victim having the prisoners in the line up beating themselves up, that had me crying on the floor.

A true shame we didn't get more.
