Disney, hoping to ignite fan excitement for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” merchandise and the upcoming movie, kicked off a rolling series of live toy unboxings Wednesday evening featuring YouTube creators around the world.
The toy unboxing event will span an 18-hour block, with YouTubers in Disney’s Maker Studios network in 15 cities in 12 countries offering a first look at the range of merchandise from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
Among the first toys unveiled: large-size action figures of villain Kylo Ren and a First Order Stormtrooper; Poe Dameron’s X-wing fighter from Lego (pictured above); Hot Wheels’ Escape from Jakku Starship playset; and the BladeBuilders Jedi Master Lightsaber from Hasbro. Star Wars: The Force Awakens products are set to be unveiled in the world’s first-ever global live toy unboxing event. Unfolding over 18 hours in 15 cities and 12 countries, the event will see highlights from the range of epic merchandise revealed in a rolling New Year’s Eve style celebration featuring top digital stars from the Maker Studios network.

Sometimes, the challenge with these lists isn't just what to put in, but what to leave out. We loved Princess Bride, but with a decent showing at the box office and a huge cult following, isn't it a bit too popular to be described as underappreciated?
