Quotes

Pauline: What you know good, Alice?
Alice: Hey, Pauline.
Pauline: When I ask you what you know good, don't be giving me no countrified "Heeeeey!"
Esther: Are you picking on Alice again?
Alice: She keep it up, and she'll have me talking all "dicty" like her.
Pauline: No one could ever call me "dicty." I just don't want you to sound like you caught the last train out of the cotton fields!
Esther: [Rolling her eyes] Well, everybody wasn't lucky enough to be born in the Big Apple like you, Pauline.

I have the movie on DVD
21 June 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I have a televised copy of the 1992 "Stompin at the Savoy" broadcast on DVD. If you are able to provide me with your email address, I will send you more info on obtaining a copy. If you go on Ebay and enter Stompin at the Savoy, you will end up viewing a totally different jazz tape with the same title, and not the movie which features Vanessa Williams. As far as I know, this movie has not been made available for DVD or VHS. I just happened to be lucky enough to record it when it first aired. I have now transfered it over to DVD. It would be nice to see this movie re-televised again, because so many people have missed out on it the first time it aired.
