Worse than the first.
30 December 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This sequel fails to improve on the first 1992 "Lost World"; if anything it is worse. The most notable thing that can be said is this is the first time a sequel to the events of the original story was attempted. This was shot back-to-back with the first movie, meaning the production values are largely identical. I first saw the two "Lost World" '92 films when they were released on VHS in the early 90's, and it was one of the few newer dinosaur titles you could rent while you were waiting for "Jurassic Park" to get to video. Unlike Roger Corman's "Carnosaur" movies, these early-90's cash-ins aren't quite high enough on the guilty pleasure "so bad it's good" level to recommend them.
