A modern day love story in the tradition of TRUE ROMANCE less the violence, about a down and out guy who is struggling to find and keep work who meets and falls in love with a woman who was having an affair with her boss in order to keep her job. She walks out and then into the life of Lenny (Tom Sizemore). Their love is not typical like other stories similar, where the two can't ever be mad at each other instead this one shows the lack of balance in the process of finding out your new lovers past flings and how jealousy comes into the picture to upset what seems to good to be true. You can really sense the desperation of the characters to find money and happiness, and in this film two of the lonliest souls in the world happen to unite. I personally related to this piece on the deep level, because my life used to be a lot like Lenny's, where money is tight and you have a girl to support and you do stupid things to get out of the hole. I really loved this film and it left a lasting impression, sure the film was uneven and far from perfect film-making, but the acting was brilliant as was the writing and it is just a shame that this film didn't get more notice.
