It's not better than Fatal Attraction, but it suffers from similar flaws. The actors are terrific but something is off. Kim Basinger is a great killer, though. You have to see her nervous reactions to being touched by Eric Roberts. He's creepy.
It begins fairly well and carries itself through professionally. Uma Thurman in particular does a bone-chilling stare directly with her eyes. And Richard Gere is sizzling as the sexy but dimwitted doctor who makes the big mistake to get involved with his patient's sister. Oops. Great plot, take a peek. But, you can't shake that feeling. This is a puzzle of squares and one of the pieces is triangular.
