Pauly Shore was considered for the role of Link before the producers met Brendan Fraser and decided that he was better suited for the part. However, they liked Shore so much that they created the role of Stoney just for him. Most of Stoney's lines were ad-libbed by Shore because they were never in the original script. See more »
During the first scene lots of things fall down during the earthquake, but a full ten seconds after the shaking stops, the ICEE falls. In addition, there is a basketball seen later on the shelf above his bed, which, being round, should have easily fallen down, but is not seen. See more »
Excellent light hearted comedy with Brendan Fraser giving an excellent performance and well supported by Pauly Shore. Brendan seems to handle these caveman type roles well, see George of the Jungle, Monkeybones. Good family fun.
