Tinto Brass surely knows how to make good movies with great decors, nice coloration, interesting scenes, meanwhile introducing gorgeous women like Stefania Sandrelli in La Chiave or, as is the case in this movie, Claudia Koll. the story of Cosi'Fan Tutte may be quite simple, but to make a good movie out of a simple story where liberation on sexual terms is the key ingredient, very common to the Tinto Brass movies, means we are dealing with fine artistry. it is known that at least the Italian versions of the Tinto Brass productions are uncut, and that is of the greatest importance. as Tinto Brass puts it, 'people don't rent or buy films to see less, rather to see more' ...

Claudia Koll, an actress born in Rome on may 17 of 1965, is surely one of the most gorgeous women ever to have appeared on the screen, and the acting of her as well as of her colleagues in this production is great. for instance in the train scene where she arouses two men who are sitting opposed to her, her mimics are quite wonderful, courtesy of a very good actress indeed. in every take of the film Claudia Koll is quite a catch for the eye, always being dressed exclusively sexy, as for instance in the tram scene, where she wears light summery kind of 'see through clothes' and obviously no bra. any men, and of course some women, would be feeling hot at the spot.

to show you the kind of artistry involved in the making of this film, in the Italian version you receive some extras which were either not or alternately used during the final editing. for instance the scene of the open air love party where a group of five guys want to seduce her, is shown in an earlier edit, and finally changed somewhat in the official version. obviously the director and all other artists involved had to stick their heads together to recreate this and other movements, in order to make a better representation, with a somewhat other timing, as a result the whole becomes more exciting to watch, more finished to the point, not the easiest thing to achieve by all means.

Tinto Brass also succeeded in building up the tension in the story, and there is also some good humor involved. when I first saw this movie, honestly during the first seconds already I was quite overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of Claudia Koll, her sensual nudity shown at once. also director Tinto Brass was quoted as saying he was quite absorbed by her appearance. judge for yourselves, Cosi'Fan Tutte to me is one of the finest erotic films from Italian Cinema, deserving a bravo for the way it had been achieved.
