In spite many people tend to compare this movie as a variation of "Romeo and Juliete" in post WWII with a hook of lesbianism, it's an original history, well acted and directed!. The movie sequence takes you no only to see the obvious conflict among, society (morals & classes) prejudices of people in that time, etc; but, it takes you to reformulate the question about finding true love and being brave enough to fight for it, it maybe sounds a cliché; but it's hard don't feel empathy for the kid that just came from a war an find in love his only way to feel alive or just feeling frustrated for Anne's desition in the end of the movie (this is for me one of those rare cases that i didn't like the way the movie ends....just for once it should deserve a Hollywood commercial ending).
