I don't mind a cute movie now and then as long as it's decently done, without a stupid story and lame characters. But that's what's here in this movie, Battling For Baby. One of the most noticeable things about this is it has next to nothing to appeal to men. Many movies on the Lifetime tv channel actually do have something appealing to men, just like many of your classic `chick flicks' made for the big screen... but not really in this movie. But I kept watching I guess because I like both Courtney Cox and Debbie Reynolds. They were both good in this but the story just stunk and the writing was purely flat and massively and completely boring. Sure some good family morals were portrayed but what else was there? This movie has the potential to appeal to pregnant daughters with loving moms or loving moms with pregnant loving daughters but that doesn't mean it's a good movie. Every key actor in this has been in at least ten or twenty better, more worthwhile movies. When this movie ended I remember commenting: `What a waste! Thank God this is over!! Now I can get on with my life.' My grade for this sappy blechhh of a movie: D (and that might actually be a bit on the generous side only because Debbie Reynolds and Courtney Cox are in it.)
