The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

5/10

Catwoman's skintight rubber catsuit, mask, heels, corset, and whip have S&M characteristics, and her behavior is downright sultry at times. In one scene, she sensuously runs her hand along Batman's rippled suit, and later straddles him on the ground and licks his face (like a cat would). She uses some double entendres (at the level of "Be gentle, it's my first time...)

The Penguin sees a woman sitting on a desk, and responds to Max's statement (about filling the mayor's office), "I'd like to fill her void" and "Teach her my French flipper trick!" while suggestively waggling his fin. He then further fantasizes what women would say to him such as, "I need you, Oswald. I need you now." Max finally tells the Penguin what he thinks is the ultimate benefit of being mayor: "Unlimited poontang."

As the Penguin sees Catwoman seductively stretched out on his bed he says, "Just the pussy I've been looking for," a feline comment and double entendre. She then comments about the cold temperatures and he replies, "I'll warm you." When she comments that they have something in common, he says, "Naked sexual charisma."

The Penguin pins a button to a girls chest taking advantage of this, by fondling her breast while doing so.

The Ice Princess takes off her fur coat at a ceremony, revealing herself in sort of fur-lined, one-piece, beauty pageant swimsuit.

Violence & Gore

6/10

A few characters are shot with no blood.

Character is thrown to what we're lead to believe is her death.

Character falls to her death and lands atop the controls of a giant Christmas tree.

Character bites off another character's nose with bloody results.

While slowly dying, a character coughs up what appears to be very dark blood. He is then seen floating face down in water.

Character falls from a resolution building. (mild blood.)

Character is violently electrocuted and we see the grisly aftermath.

Characters dressed as clowns are shot with puck-like projectiles.

Character is set on fire.

Character has time bomb shoved down his pants. He then explodes off-screen.

Character shows another character a mildly graphic severed hand.

Character is slashed on the face, with blood, but he does not die.

A woman's fingers are bloodily gnawed on by a cat.

Profanity

3/10

A couple uses of "s**t" and some milder profanity.

2/10

Mr. and Mrs. Cobblepot (the Penguin's parents) drink martinis.

The Penguin and Catwoman drink champagne.

Mr. Cobblepot smokes a cigarette using a holder.

7/10

We hear screams coming from another room and the sounds of a baby crying (the sounds of Oswald being born). Moments (but months) later, we see a cage with something (the Penguin) inside it. A family cat moves close to the cage and is grabbed inside and we hear sounds of the cat fighting and then nothing, indicating that the Penguin has killed the cat.

Max pushes Selina out the window where she falls several stories to her presumed death. She lies on the street for a moment and then begins twitching, which ends with her eyes rolling up into her head, just revealing the whites of her eyes.

The Penguin's plan is to steal all of the first born males in Gotham City, and there's a scene showing them abducting infants and young children and putting them in cages. This may be scary to younger kids until Batman stops the kidnapping.

Batman's uncovering of Max's corpse may be considered a "jump scene" for some.

The atmosphere and look of the film is designed to scare.

The Penguin appears to be quite frightening. He has numerous violent outbursts.

Character has her fingers gnawed by cats.

Subject matter is very dark and may disturb some younger viewers.

Suggested MPAA Rating: PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, disturbing images, some sexual content and language.
