Geek Girl Navigating the World – Supernatural will top my list for a long, long time
I am kind of a TV junkie. I’ll admit that. There are several shows that I watch frequently and have a tendency to recommend to anyone who’ll hold still long enough to express even the barest hint of interest. There are also several shows that I have purchased in their entirety on DVD. For a long time, if I were asked what my favorite show was, I wouldn’t have been able to name one.
That all changed in 2005. I considered the WB to be a haven for soapy and fairly ridiculous teen-drama fair after they’d pretty much abolished and animation line-up that I’d loved to watch. There was a new show premiering, though, that looked promising. As a sci-fi/fantasy fan, the lack of anything to take the place of “The X-Files” was disconcerting. »
Actor Wyatt Knight has been found dead outside his home in Maui, Hawaii.
The wife of the Porky's star has confirmed reports the 56 year old took his own life.
Silvina Knight tells TMZ.com her late husband grew tired of the "physical and emotional pain" he suffered while battling cancer.
She says, "After much contemplation, he chose to end his life in a beautiful and a serene place... His family and friends are devastated."
Paying tribute to the actor, she adds, "Wyatt was an incredibly talented, intelligent and loving person with an amazing spirit. He is free and at peace."
Knight's screen credits also include guest appearances on a number of U.S. TV shows, including Renegade, Pacific Blue and Star Trek: The Next Generation. He played Tommy Turner in the cult Porky's movies. »
With As Darkness Falls... set to premiere in just over a month, John C. Alsadek of Blue Hours Productions dropped us a line to let us know they are hard at work preparing for the horror anthology show’s second season, which includes some guest stars genre fans should be pretty excited about.
Alsadek tells Dread Central, “Now that we’ve got the first batch of episodes ready to go out the door, we’re planning for when we resume production in October. In particular, we have some surprising guest stars in the works - as a lifelong fan of horror, sci-fi and fantasy, I’m very excited about them.”
Already confirmed as guests are a pair of actresses with extensive TV and film resumes: Elizabeth Gracen and Kathleen Kinmont (pictured below, l-r). Ms. Gracen is best known for her role as the Immortal Amanda on the TV show "Highlander »

If Mr. Lamas has ever actually stabbed anyone in the back, literally or figuratively, I have no knowledge of this.
TV’s “Renegade”, Lorenzo Lamas, stars in Backstabber, another one of those action-thrillers about a corporate team-building exercise that once again takes the notion of business being cutthroat to its most extreme.
Employees attending an extreme team-building function for the weekend find new meaning in teamwork, thinking outside the box, and risk management as they fight for survival from a deranged killer bent on revenge.
Tammy Barr (“The Young and the Restless”) co-stars in the low-budget indie from fledgling Texas filmmaker Chuck Walker and newbie writer Naveen Ramineni, an orthopedic surgeon by trade. Not much more information out there other than the movie »

It seems like just yesterday we watched, misty-eyed, as Jennifer Grey triumphantly hobbled off the ballroom floor, mirror ball of glory in hand... but it's almost that time again.
"Dancing With the Stars" returns to ABC in March, and one of the first suggested participants is someone who likely won't be able to go through with it.
RadarOnline reports that former "Hills" star and plastic surgery poster child Heidi Montag was offered a role on a previous season of "Dwts." Her other reality commitments kept her from going through with it, and now, even though she still wants to, fears of getting injured keep her from talking the leap.
Montag isn't the first name to pop up in Season 12 casting speculation. TMZ reports the series has approached Lorenzo Lamas ("Renegade") and Donna D'Errico ("Baywatch"). Both of them have expressed "serious interest," which hardly seems surprising.
What would be a shock »
