She certainly has the pipes. And the dance moves. But does Ashlee Simpson-Wentz have the chops—or desire—to do an entire album of Michael Jackson covers, as reportedly pitched by papa Joe Simpson? Some of the characters involved in the refurbished version of "Melrose Place" are introduced individually via short promos. This bunch of people takes over from the '90s characters except for Sidney Andrews and Michael Mancini who are original characters played by the same actors, Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro respectively.
Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen) has the dream of being a doctor and she works in the same profession as Dr. Michael Mancini. Lauren wants to enter medical school but she has little money, so she 'calls' to men. David (Shaun Sipos) is the son of Michael who loves women. Sydney takes an interest in him, so does Ella.
Ella (Katie Cassidy) hates monogamy and she goes both ways, boys and girls. Auggie (Colin Egglesfield) has the passion for cooking and Violet (Ashlee Simpson) thinks he's hot.
"Melrose Place" is set to premiere September 8 at 9/8c.

The lesbian storyline on "90210" may involve AnnaLynne McCord's Naomi Clark. The actress has projected her desire to try on the same sex relationship with Rumer Willis on-screen, saying that she is a big fan of Rumer's mom, Demi Moore.
Rumer recently was signed to the drama series as a lesbian student named Gia. "[I'm] very happy to have her, I have met [Rumer] once or twice and she is very sweet," AnnaLynne told Access Hollywood. "I think she's awesome and obviously, you know, I kind of have a girl crush on her mom so its good to have her."
AnnaLynne suggests a plot that will make Naomi crossing path with Gia. "This is what I foresee," she told E!. "Naomi gets drunk, and she gets a little crazy. Liam's watching. Naomi wants to experiment. And then a little lip-on-lip action with Rumer Willis can't hurt anybody, right?" She added, "How fabulous would that be.

Ever since the logline of NBC's Day One was announced everyone had assumed that the sci-fi component of the series would be minimal. However, after viewing a leaked trailer for the show's pilot episode we're now learning that won't be the case.
When it was first announced earlier in the year, Day One was described as centering on a group of survivors caught up in the aftermath of a global cataclysm. The show would follow the day-to-day existence of them as society attempted to rebuild itself after the planetary calamity strikes. Based on that description of the show it sounded like the major disaster that sets up the show's premise was a natural one, like a supervolcano going off, asteroid impact or the planet's axis moving. A website called Quiet Earth got its hands on rough footage of a Day One trailer and put it up on their site only

The talks about a crossover event between "90210" and "Melrose Place" are heating up with the latest scoop from TV Guide suggesting that it would be a 'he'. Questions were thrown about which character from "90210" will help to revamp the spin-off to '90s "Melrose Place".
Ryan Eggold, who plays Ryan Matthews, has been deemed to be 'the chosen one'. In response to this, Eggold said, "You know, I've been hearing this and I don't know if it's true either. But it will be fun to play this character Ryan as a twenty something in a show like that. Just to kind of open him up a little bit. I'd love to sort of check out a different passage of Ryan."
The first hint of a crossover came from Naomi Clark depicter on "90210", AnnaLynne McCord. She said last month, "The producers have actually mentioned that to us. We don't know who

Melrose Place star Ashlee Simpson-wentz has no idea what sort of scandal will unfold on the upcoming TV series - because the show's producers refuse to let her read future scripts.
TV bosses at the CW network are going to great lengths to ensure the remake of the 1990s soap opera is kept under wraps and have banned the cast from reading upcoming plotlines.
And the singer/actress is counting down the days until the show airs in the U.S. in September - so she can finally find out secrets about her character, Violet Foster, a small-town girl new to Los Angeles.
She tells MTV.com, "I play the girl that's straight-off-the-bus. It's exciting because we don't get to see the next episode. We don't get to read the scripts until we're actually about to shoot it, and everyone is dying to know what's going to happen to their characters, so it's fun. It'll be exciting to play that arc."
And the 24 year old isn't ruling out a guest appearance from her husband, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz: "He hangs with me, but we don't read lines. I'm sure he would (make a cameo) if I asked him to!"

The debate goes on and on as to whether Smallville is going beyond the upcoming 9th season. In fact there are many things that are up in the air as far as what we know about the show.
The few things we do know:
Tom Welling, who plays Clark Kent, has signed a 2-year contract renewal with the CW network. Allison Mack’s contract ends next year. Callum Blue & Brian Austin Green are hopping on board to play a few characters. Things have been up in the air ever since Al Gough and Miles Millar left the show to the supporting showrunners Darren Swimmer, Todd Slakin, Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson. They’ve proven themselves, more or less with season 8, despite the emptiness of the season finale.
But after having stepped up, Swimmer and Slakvin are moving on to take over Melrose Place, leaving Souders and Peterson to run the shop.

The 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You was one of a popular spate of teen films that hit theaters right before the new millennium and now, 10 years later, the film is getting new life on the small screen. ABC Family will be premiering the TV version of 10 Things I Hate About You on Tuesday, July 7 at 8 Pm Et and I was recently given the opportunity to visit the set and chat with the cast of this new series. Before the other reporters and I headed out to Santa Clarita Studios, we met at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood to have breakfast with one of the cast members who wasn't filming that day, Ethan Peck, who plays the mysterious Patrick Verona, a character which the late Heath Ledger portrayed in what turned out to be his breakthrough role. Here's what Peck had to say during our chat.

There will no more engine revving for Grant Show—at least not on any new Melrose Place sets. Show played hunky biker bad boy Jake Hanson in the original prime-time drama. He says reviving his character on the CW's upcoming revamp isn't in the cards for him, but watching the new series certainly is. "I have no intention of returning, but everyone I've talked to who has seen the new show says it's surprisingly very good," Show told us recently. "And hey, more power to them...Sure, yeah, I'll watch!" Despite not having seen any episodes of the series yet, Show doesn't doubt it will be a success… "They have Thomas [Calabro] and Laura [Leighton]...

AnnaLynne McCord thinks it's time for 90210 to jump over to Gossip Girl. McCord says her 90210 character, Naomi Clark, would be a perfect match for Ed Westwick's Chuck Bass. "I think the Beverly Hills bad girl should team up with New York's bad boy and have some fun," McCord told me this morning from Washington, D.C. (more on that in a moment). During the break between seasons a few bits are developing in regards to the cast of the upcoming 9th season of Smallville.
The latest news I’ve seen is that Brian Austin Green is coming on board the Smallville to play the role of John Corben - or you may know him better as “Metallo.”
The surprising part for me is that it’s been reported that he stepped away from being a series regular on One Tree Hill for his two-episode appearance.
If you never caught Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, then you don’t know that Green can play a serious bad-ass character. It shocked me when he showed up in Tscc but he pulls off the regimented, focused soldier part very well in both looks and performance.
