Gary Auerbach to Oversee Development at Wilshire Studios (Exclusive)

Gary Auerbach has been tapped as exec veep of development and programming for Wilshire Studios, formerly known as Comcast Entertainment Studios.

He will report to Steve Dolcemaschio, prexy of the studio, which is owned by NBCU Cable Entertainment.

Auerbach joins Wilshire Studios from Go Go Luckey Entertainment, a reality shingle that he founded in 2002 and served as partner at. There Auerbach oversaw production on programs including “Laguna Beach,” “Paranormal State” and “Ghost Lab.”

Go Go Luckey has restructured its exec ranks to accommodate Auerbach’s departure.

Before Go Go Luckey, Auerbach was co-owner of Mindless Entertainment, and worked on shows including “Punk’d,” “Singled Out” and “The Jon Stewart Show.”

At Wilshire Studios, Auerbach will be responsible for developing new projects along with Wilshire’s current programming slate, which includes “The Soup,” “Fashion Police,” “Live From the Red Carpet” and “True Hollywood Story,” as well as shows on Style, BBC America, »
