Between coaching, teaching, dealing with neighborhood struggles and living with two beautiful female roommates (played by Holly Robinson Peete and Dawnn Lewis), Mr. Cooper keeps a humorous, positive outlook on life and provides advice and fun to the many people in his life that he encounters. The show also stars Omar Gooding as one of Cooper's students and basketball players Earvin Rodman. Trivia

The series finale was preempted, halfway through, on the west coast, as ABC News was breaking the story of Princess Diana's fatal car accident in Paris. There were a few complaints from viewers, but nothing of significant note as the show aired on a Saturday Night, and was one of the lowest rated programs on ABC at the time. The show aired in full in syndication. See more »

Give it up, give it up

This show was hilarious. All of the cast was great, especially the star Mark Curry who was the funniest. I had many great moments laughing at this show. It is a classic show. Everything about this show was pure gold. I was saddened to know this show was cancelled. That was a shame. That is why I'm thankful for reruns.
