This IMDb entry is for Saban's Gulliver's Travels, a cartoon, not a TV miniseries.

The cartoon has Gulliver as a young scientist who charters a ship to go exploring. He meets a clumsy cabin boy named Raphael on the ship. Although Raphael exasperates the captain and crew, Gulliver and Raphael become fast friends. Then comes the inevitable ship wreck and Gulliver finds himself on and island full of little people. He is eventually reunited with Raphael and the two of them leave Lilliput and go on many adventures. They take a Lilliputian scientist and his family with them on their travels.

I was surprised by some of the minor violence in the show, such as when Folsa (the wife of the Lilliputian scientist) starts punching a military officer when he calls her husband a traitor! It comes off as comical but it was surprising to see. I think I'd rather not see things like that in shows for kids. One of the things that also took away from the show was Folsa's nagging of her husband. Scary! But I guess some people would find it funny.

The show has some interesting stories, such as an episode where Gulliver and company end up on an island of snake people who are masters of illusion.
