Trivia

According to Executive Producer Gil Grant, the series was intended to be set about 1350, during the middle of Edward the Third's reign. Since the series wasn't intended to be completely accurate, and the Production Designer was concerned with criticism over anachronisms creeping into the set design, the producers opted to use a generic medieval time period instead. This has to be one of the most underrated shows ever...

I'm so glad that I taped the series when it aired, It is always a good show to watch again, with the exception of the Robin of Sherwood series there has always been a shortage of good genre drama set in the middle ages. It had some genuinely funny moments with enough drama and fast paced action to keep you interested. I've often heard people refer to the show as the 90210 of the middle ages, i think that its a good description of the show but not in a derogates way of describing it but rather as a complement to the style of the show, if only it had gone as long as 90210.

Who ever decided to can this show made a big mistake...
