Wildflower (1991 TV Movie)
Jack Perkins: I hear Alice lives in the shed?
Ada Guthrie: What of it? She's a damn sight safer out there where she hardly sees him than in there within his reach.
Sammy Perkins: What did I do that was so wrong? You were embarrassed too.
Ellie Perkins: I was embarrassed for her but I wasn't ashamed of no-one but you.
Alice Guthrie: Why? Why am I not like everybody else? I want to be...
Sammy Perkins: What? What you want to be?
Alice Guthrie: I want to be a real girl...
Ada Guthrie: My husband don't agree none. He says she devil-tached.
Bertha: That's great, Alice, What subjects are you studying?
Alice Guthrie: I learn... reading and writing... I write letter to Sammy! And I learn... I learn twestion marks and commies too.
Bertha: Really? Well, Sammy, did that letter have any "twestion marks" or "commies" in it?
Alice Guthrie: I don't care, if everybody in the whole world laughs at my twestion marks and my commies.
