Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

The Sheriff attempts to rape Maid Marian after they are married, but Robin Hood stops him.

Violence: 7/10

Intense medieval combat and blood.

Arrows are fired at people.

In the start of the movie, we see a man's hand getting chopped off (partially off-screen). Blood stains the walls.

Crows peck a dead corpse's eyes.

Sword fights and duels. A knight is run through with a sword, with some blood.

People are about to be hanged, and are hanged until they are (seconds later) saved.

A man's arm is hacked off (we don't see it on-screen, although a second later we see blood covering his shirt).

Profanity

Profanity: 5/10

One use of f--k

A few uses of d--n and what the h--l

Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking: 2/10

Friar Tuck is a alcoholic and preaches to his flock about the glories of beer.

5/10

The witch is very disturbing, and will give kids under 10 nightmares. She sacrifices animals using blood-stained knives (though mostly off-screen).

Since I cannot give this movie a suggested rating because it has content that falls under the categories of PG-13 and R, I will give a more specific rating:

Suggested Rating: Rated AGES 14+ For Sequences of Strong Medieval Violence, Blood and Disturbing Images, Drinking, Language and Mature Content.
