R.I.P. Zsa Zsa Gabor (1917 – 2016)

Hungarian-born actress and socialite Zsa Zsa Gabor has passed away aged 99, having suffered a heart attack at her home after several years of illness.

Known for her nine marriages and her glamorous, larger than life celebrity persona as much as her acting work, the former beauty queen enjoyed moderate success on the big screen, appearing in films such as Moulin Rogue, We’re Not Married!, Lili , Queen of Outer Space and Touch of Evil during the 1950s.

She would also guest star on a host of TV programmes from the 1950s through to the 1980s, including a role in the Batman TV series, where she portrayed the villainess Minerva. In later years, she would make cameo appearances in the likes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear, The Beverley Hillbillies, and A Very Brady Sequel, which proved to be her final on screen credit. »
