Smokey Robinson Has Launched a Skin Care Line (We Second All Your Emotions)

21 October 2016 6:00 AM, PDT | | See recent news »

Smokey Robinson has created hundreds of hits over his five-decade career, but for his latest, he traded the studio for a research lab.

That’s right. The iconic singer-songwriter, 79, and his wife Frances have launched Skinphonic skin care, formulated with the goal of â€.finding your skinâ€.s natural harmony,” according to the website.

The collection is specifically for skin of color, a demographic the duo felt were underserved after years of experimenting with the latest, greatest and dermatologist-prescribed products available.

Camila Cabello Joins Machine Gun Kelly In New Song

13 October 2016 12:35 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Machine Gun Kelly only released his latest album, General Admission, a year ago, but the rapper is planning big things when it comes to his next project. “Bad Things,” his latest single and song off his forthcoming record, has been released, and it’s a collaboration with Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello.

Even though Fifth Harmony are one of the hottest pop groups in the game right now (take their “That’s My Girl” music video, for example), Cabello’s feature on “Bad Things” may be the start of what we can expect from her as a solo entity someday.

Cabello is undoubtedly the star of the show on the near four minute long track, delivering an out of this world performance on the song’s hook. Machine Gun Kelly supports the verses with a solid flow, but they don’t come close to the quality of the chorus. Regardless, »

Dnce Reveal Steamy Video For “Body Moves”

11 October 2016 9:18 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

With a song called “Body Moves,” you can pretty much visualize exactly what a music video for it would look like. Add in some models and Joe Jonas, and Dnce doesn’t let down people’s imaginations for the clip of their brand new lead single – it’s by far their most risque video to date.

Featuring Victoria’s Secret model Charlotte McKinney, her and Dnce band member Jonas get down and dirty in an elevator in between shots of the group performing the catchy track in an abandoned basement. Combine Jonas, McKinney, minimal clothing, and a video directed by Hannah Lux Davis, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for music video eye candy. Lux Davis has been running the game so far with videos this year, and “Body Moves” is just another A+ on her resume which also features Fifth Harmony’s “That’s My Girl” and Ariana Grande’s “Side To Side. »

Fifth Harmony Get Post-Apocalyptic In “That’s My Girl” Video

19 September 2016 11:05 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

The summer may be over, but the songs from the summer are still going strong. Fifth Harmony has been ruling the charts with singles like “Work From Home” and “All In My Head (Flex),” but their new track, “That’s My Girl,” has the potential to do better than both. With the song’s brand new music video, the girls are saving the world in a post-apocalyptic setting, and nothing really suits their larger-than-life personalities better than that.

“That’s My Girl” looks like it had one of the biggest music video budgets of the year, as it’s got a tone to it that is straight out of a Mad Max deleted scene. The Hannah Lux Davis directed clip shows Fifth Harmony as they trek through a dystopian land in matching white outfits, with a choreography routine that’s ridiculously on point. There’s never a dull moment throughout the video, »

What happened to 1990's 10 most promising movie executives?

31 August 2016 2:31 PM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Simon Brew Sep 2, 2016

Premiere magazine highlighted 10 movie executives to watch in 1990. So what happened to them?

In its May 1990 issue, the sadly-missed Us version of Premiere magazine published an article, highlighting ten young movie executives, and suggesting that these were people with very big futures ahead of them in the industry.

Given that much is written about movie executives, without actually digging much deeper to find out who they actually are, I thought it was worth tracing what happened to these ten, and – 26 years later – whether Premiere was correct in saluting them as the future of the industry. So, er, I did...

Lance Young

Senior production VP, Paramount Pictures

Pictured in the article on an office swivel chair with some snazzy purple socks, Lance Young, Premiere wrote, had been “groomed for big things since joining Paramount at the age of 23”. He was 30 at the time the article was published, and »

Still, his seclusion from Hollywood, an arrest for drug possession, a two-year teenage »
