Watchable Slap-stick meets Action.
13 April 2008 | by (Hong Kong) – See all my reviews

Slap-stick meets action is this watchable Lau flick. Certainly not his best, but Lau fans will be happy to him in a role that in many ways parallels a triad Tom Hanks "Big" character trying to make "good".

The premise is well build and begins with the typical "wrong guy" story-line that is enough to capture one's attention until almost half way, when the story-line falls apart for the remainder of the story, which is held together by comical intervals and unlikely, but somewhat entertaining scenarios.

Although this one may find a hard time reaching its way to the States (simply because it isn't that great), those looking for an introduction to Lau's work should look elsewhere.
