Nice film, 17 February 2009
Author: silvan-desouza from India

Mukul Anand was a good director, he used to play to the masses and yet show good technical flair and make nice films

AGNEEPATH was a typical Hindi film and had few scenes from SCARFACE copied

HUM is a nice family + action film and here Amitabh plays his age too in half of the film, after which he played his age in INDRAJEET which flopped

HUM starts off as nothing g8 but then the Amitabh- Danny scenes and the entire scene where Ab's friend is killed and then his family(though his parents look younger to him) are well handled The story goes ahead with a twist which is well handled The part 2 with Rajnikant and Govinda appearing as AB's younger brothers also is well handled The journey till the end is well depicted

The few flaws are: The villains look like jokers and are a put off Even the last fight scenes are too artificial but for a film in 1991 it's okay

Mukul Anand does a great job handling the film Music was a big hit that time, especially the title song and Jumma Chumma

Amitabh performed Tiger and Shekhar both parts of the role with brilliance, playing his age and balancing it well with the role Govinda was alright, Rajnikant too does well Shilpa Shirodkar has no role, Kimi Katkar is annoying Danny excels in his part Anupam Kher fails as the villain, Annu Kapoor too annoys
