Did You Know?

Principal photography on "Hudson Hawk" began on 9th July 1990, where cast and crew gathered in front of a correctional facility to film the scenes in which Hawk (Bruce Willis) is first released from prison. From there, the film company moved to the New York City area where, for the next three weeks, streets within the metropolis, as well as several New Jersey and Brooklyn sites, served as backdrops for the production. When Tommy is quizzing Hudson Hawk on song lengths, he asks "National Anthem, Whitney Houston, Super Bowl 17?" Whitney Houston sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl 25. Leslie Easterbrook, who played Callahan in the "Police Academy" movies, sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl 17. Also the Whitney Houston version was 116 seconds not "7 minutes 17 seconds" as Hudson claims. See more »

I laugh, I cry every time
16 February 2005 | by (Houston, TX) – See all my reviews

I have watched this flick at least 30 times. I can recite it almost verbatim.

I also realize that I am relatively alone in my feelings for this movie. My wife reminds me of that all the time.

The humor in this flick probably doesn't appeal to most people, because they like to be spoon-fed humor. Slapstick and punny humor is far too refined for most.

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for (this movie).

P.S. The director's commentary on the DVD is great if you're a fan of the film.
