If there's any "special feature" on the Godfather DVD to check out, look no further than "A Look Inside". The doc combines interviews with Al Pacino, James Caan, DiNero, Talia Shire, Robert Duvall and Coppola. Fascinating stuff. The audition tapes are great fun to take in. I mean, Al Pacino seemed nervous, James Caan tried out for the part of Michael (he was pretty damn good to be honest) and Robert DiNiro made quite a good test for Sonny. Martin Sheen's ditty is hilarious! Did he think growing a beard would snatch him a part? (Try to figure out that logic.) I picked up some interesting trivia along the way. For example, the studio was against hiring Marlon Brando and they were considering my beautiful Mr. Redford for Michael! I love him (see my reviews) but I'm not so blind as to think he'd fit the role. I recommend this documentary very much, a must see for any Godfather fan or movie buff.
I give this an 8 because we don't get to see any Robert Redford footage.
