In the US, the boxset does indeed include the original 3D version of the film. All single DVD releases of the film are in 2D. In the UK, the only release of the 3D version was the VHS rental copy.
Apparently, there is a different cut of this movie available in Germany that is not censored in a traditional way but shows a number of scenes that are not featured in the US-cut. On the other hand the US-cut consists of scenes that cannot be found in the German version. Nevertheless this German cut is approximately 3 minutes longer and can be found on the German VHS from VPS, the German LaserDisc and the German DVD from Laser Paradise. The German re-release from Warner Bros. comes only with the US-cut.
