3.13 Eye Of The Storm

The second half of Outlander Season 3 has been a bit of a mixed bag. While it's been thrilling to see the show take on a new location as it took to the open seas, it's been defined by a frantic aimlessness. This show is at its best when its characters are working towards a believable, relatable, and hard-won goal. It's why the first part of Season 3 worked so well. It was all about Jamie and Claire learning to live without the other, and it wasn't easy.

Once they were reunited, the show was less focused when it came to Jamie and Claire's goal. Sure, they were trying to save Young Ian (and don't think I

If the vagaries of 18th-century sea travel aren’t tough enough on their own, this week’s Outlander caps a season in which Mrs. James Fraser was pressed into service as a ship’s doctor, was forced to live aboard a boat full of men dying in extremely disgusting fashion, jumped overboard to escape said boat and then wound up on another ship and weathered a seriously scary storm before nearly drowning when

It's the big finish to an action-packed season. And it starts with Claire heading to Rose Hill in search of Ian. She makes her way to the slave's quarters, quietly calling his name, but fails to discover anything but a dead body -- most likely one of Geillis' virgins. Claire is grabbed by Geillis' number one henchman, Hercules (Apolinhalo Antonio).

Outlander Finale: Jamie and Claire Race to Thwart Geillis' Plan in New Photos
Know what’s scarier than a mad witch with a mission? A mad witch with a mission… and a deadline.

In these newly released photos from Outlander‘s upcoming season finale (Sunday, 8/7c), Geillis Duncan Abernathy looks nonplussed as Young Ian struggles with his captor and seems to curse her very name. And why should the time traveler worry? As we saw in the previous episode, she’s unlocked the Brahan Seer prophecy — thanks to Margaret — and the events of the finale will help the crazy murderess clarify her plan.

Vivendi Makes Bet on African Exhibition Sector With New Theaters
While the luminaries of the African film world descended on Burkina Faso last week for the start of Fespaco, the biannual pan-African film festival holding its 25th edition Feb. 25-March 4, French media conglom Vivendi used the fest’s opening as a showcase for its ongoing plans to expand its footprint across Africa.

With a screening of “L’oeil du cyclone” (Eye of the Storm), local helmer Sékou Traoré’s 2015 Fespaco prize-winner, the company unveiled the fifth movie theater it has built in sub-Saharan Africa in less than a year, part of an ambitious initiative dubbed CanalOlympia.

Taking its name from the fabled L’Olympia movie theater in Paris, CanalOlympia is a high-profile gambit to transform moviegoing in one of the world’s most underserved cinematic regions.

Each theater features state-of-the-art digital projectors and Dolby Surround 7.1, while solar panels and batteries guarantee an uninterrupted flow of electricity in countries with erratic power supplies.

Tna veteran James Storm debuted at WWE’s Nxt TV tapings from Full Sail University last night.

The former Tna Heavyweight Champion, who has spent 18 long years in the business, becomes a surprising WWE debutant at the age of 38 and just the latest name to have jumped from Tna’s sinking ship to WWE’s rising promotion. He signed with WWE after at least a week’s worth of talks, being spotted backstage and at ringside at events in recent days.

Like Samoa Joe before him this summer, Storm has been granted the privilege of wrestling under his recognised ring name. He defeated Nxt enhancement talent Danny Burch in a quick squash match using his Eye Of The Storm finisher.

Playing the babyface, Storm orchestrated a clap and cheer with the fans after the match, which you will be able to see on the October 21st Nxt show.

We'll have to wait and see how its mix of hand-to-hand combat and vehicular mayhem stacks up agains twhat, for us, is the film of the summer. At the very least, the property's in seasoned hands with Avalanche.
