The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

6/10

Fred says "You got married? You mean you've been doing it like the pigeons? No! Yuk!".

Fred looks up the mother's dress and says "Wow... Cobwebs!".

Elizabeth goes to Janie's house boat and Murray says "Janie? Are you coming back?" Janie says "I'll be right up Murr! He's an animal" Then Elizabeth says "You mean he goes all night?".

Fred disrobes a waiter wearing a toga and his butt is seen for about 10 seconds.

Fred looks up a woman's dress and says "No panties! No panties!".

Elizabeth starts to make out with Charles (just kissing).

Violence & Gore

4/10

Fred slams Elizabeth in the head with a shovel.

A nurse says "I have a black belt in karate, and I snap you like a twig"

A woman is hit in the head with a frying pan and falls on the ground unconscious.

Fred's head is slammed in a fridge door

Profanity

5/10

A couple uses of "shit", "bitch", and "hell"; the phrase "piss off" is used four times in the same scene.

The F-word is also used when fred is bouncing down the stairs when they try escaping mothers house so not to take the pills from the nurse.

3/10

Elizabeth goes to a children's psychologist and he gives Elizabeth's mother "green pills" to get rid of her delusions (a.k.a. Fred)

5/10

Fred is intended to be a goofy character, but he might be considered a little frightening to younger children, especially in the way he keeps appearing and re-appearing.

Fred can be very scary at times, like tapping the young Elizabeth on the head and cutting her hair while she's asleep.

Fred gets his head stuck in the fridge and in his attempt to escape, his neck becomes very long, and then his head pops out and it looks like a football could scare small children.

Elizabeth goes into her self conscious and it is a very scary dream world (Looks like a Tim Burton designed set so its odd and freaky) may scare little children.
