14 February 2017 7:22 AM, PST | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Disney and its subsidiary Maker Studios have dropped Swedish YouTube star Felix Kjellberg, Aka PewDiePie, from its roster one month after the gamer posted a video showing two men laughing as they held up a sign reading: “Death to all Jews.”

In a video from January 11, since removed, Kjellberg filmed his shocked reaction as the two men unfurled the sign, which he had paid them to do. The following week, Kjellberg posted an apology, repeating the hateful rhetoric and criticizing the media for not understanding that he was joking. In a January 22 video, also since removed, he reacts to a video of a Jesus character saying a popular alt-right trolling phrase, “Hitler did nothing wrong.” The Wall Street Journal has segments of the videos.

Big Little Lies Review: Moms Fight Dirty in HBO's Wicked (Good) Miniseries

6 February 2017 6:00 AM, PST | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

It’s tempting to take one look at the multimillion-dollar homes and luxury cars the characters have in Big Little Lies, and ask: “How can these people have any problems?” But as one character says, “You can’t make a perfect world. No matter what, s—t happens.”

S—t most certainly does happen in the star-studded HBO miniseries (debuting Sunday, Feb. 19 at 9/8c), including a grisly homicide that sends shockwaves through the seaside community of Monterey, California. But the great thing about Big Little Lies is: The murder is almost beside the point. The vicious battle for power and »

Helloooooo?

Billy Crystal and Daniel Stern reunited to bring their iconic City Slickers characters to life one more time in a hilarious parody of HBO's Westworld for Funny or Die.

Sticking to the show's plot, the two old friends, Mitch and Phil, keep breaking their loop and have to be reset by park staff.

The four-minute video also features cameos from the Westworld cast to kick things up a notch, including Luke Hemsworth and Ptolemy Slocum.

Just as the hosts do in the HBO show, Mitch begins to malfunction, breaking his loop, and Phil follows his lead because, of course, that's what Phil would do.

Billy Crystal and Daniel Stern Just Gave Us the Gift of a Westworld/City Slickers Parody

Have you ever noticed how alike the plots are for City Slickers and Westworld? I mean, sure, there are no robot "hosts" in City Slickers, and the 1991 comedy has a lot less death, nudity, and violence, but at their cores, both films are about people trying to escape their daily lives by experiencing the Wild West. Billy Crystal and Daniel Stern teamed up with Funny or Die to bring the show and the film together, and it's pretty funny, especially if you are old enough to, you know, have seen City Slickers. Are you going through Westworld withdrawal?  So are we.  So is everyone.  The first season of the HBO show was an absolute smash hit and people have raved about the futuristic Western (if that’s even how you can characterize it).  While fans wait for the anticipated release date of Westworld season 2, Funny or Die wasted no time in making a hilarious parody that mashes up Westworld and City Slickers.  Who did they recruit for the City Slickers part?  None other than Billy Crystal himself. Oh yeah, for those missing Billy Crystal, this is fun too.  When’s the last time

Missing HBO’s Westworld? This new Funny or Die video might help ease your withdrawals — with a certain famous cowpoke wandering the plains of the Old West theme park.

In the parody video — which you can watch above — Billy Crystal reprises his role as Mitch (aka “Mitchie the Kid”) from the 1991 big-screen comedy City Slickers. Only now, instead of a dad working out a midlife crisis on a dude ranch, Mitch is a robot in Westworld. And like a lot of the robots in the park, he’s been malfunctioning lately.
