8 Classic Covers of 'All I Want for Christmas' to Add to Your Holiday Playlist

22 December 2015 9:35 AM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Despite the fact that "All I Want for Christmas" was recently dethroned from its spot atop the "Most-Played Christmas Songs in Retail Stores" list, replaced by The Shins' version of "Wonderful Christmastime," there's no denying that Mariah Carey's tune is the most enduring addition to the Christmas canon from the past quarter-century - at least. So here are eight different covers of it. Which version best captures the sense of whimsical longing reflected in the original? Only one way to tell: Listen to all of them, preferably in one marathon sprint, and then do it again. Eight songs enter, »

The X Factor Final 2015: as it happened

13 December 2015 2:03 PM, PST | The Guardian - TV News | See recent The Guardian - TV News news »

Reggie N Bollie v Louisa Johnson. Only one could be crowned X Factor champion 2015, but who?

10.03pm GMT

Anyway, that’s it. Louisa Johnson has won X Factor 2015, which means this is probably the last X Factor liveblog I’ll ever write. I might change my mind, or be coerced into returning next year, but right now this really feels like the end of something. I realise this means I’ll miss Louisa’s triumphant return to X Factor next year, which will be her first of three televised appearances before she disappears forever, but I’m sure we’ll all survive.

In which case, thanks again for all the support, everyone. You guys have been great. Now, please do the decent thing and turn your televisions off.

10.02pm GMT

Unfortunately Harry Styles didn’t run onstage and tell Louisa about all the pussy she’ll get now, but I’m sure he wanted to. »

Here Comes Santa Clause: The Craziest Celebrity Christmas Gifts, Ranked

8 December 2015 5:00 AM, PST | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Do you feel that? Christmas is in the air. It's in your kitchen, where you're going through gallons of butter in an attempt to be the next holiday Martha Stewart. It's in your car, where you can't help but tune to the radio station that plays Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" on a continuous loop. It's in your office, where you hung a super sad wreath and called it "decorating" (what would Martha say?). But most of all, the Christmas is alive and well because of all the shopping. Try as we might to focus on all the cozy, feel-good aspects of the season, the gift part is pretty darn good. And there's no better reminder of the joy that a present can bring »

Macy Gray’s Christmas Wish in New Song: Keep Donald Trump Out of White House

5 December 2015 10:33 AM, PST | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Macy Gray‘s new Christmas song has cheer — and jeer — for all, name-dropping President Obama, Donald Trump and Al Gore. The soul and R &B singer’s updated version of “All I Want For Christmas” calls for free healthcare, tighter gun control and action on climate change. She also expresses her gratitude to the president: “No matter what they say, Barack, you did real good,” Gray sang, adding that she hopes Obama’s successor does the “things he or she should.” Also Read: Macy Gray Drama 'Where Children Play' Picked Up by Urban Movie Channel But she’s »

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Talk Co-Parenting Throughout the Holidays: ''There's Still Love and Respect''

2 December 2015 11:06 AM, PST | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

This year will mark the first Christmas Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrate after divorcing. However, that doesn't mean they'll set aside their family traditions. We sat down with the singer while promoting her new children's book "All I Want for Christmas" in New York on Tuesday, and she opened up about their plans for the holidays. After revealing her two kiddos, Monroe and Moroccan, have already written their letters to Santa, Mariah explained, "Santa Claus comes every year and real reindeer are there, of course, as well. [We have] too many traditions to name! We go on a two-horse open sleigh and spend Christmas in Aspen usually so I can have a white Christmas, so it's really »

‘WWE Christmas Collection’ DVD Review

16 November 2015 6:20 AM, PST | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

If you’re a wrestling fan you’ll know just how much the WWE loves Christmas. Seasonal shows have been a staple of their television output for as long as I can remember going as far back as Captain Lou Albano reading Christmas stories on WWE programming; through the Attitude era, where the fun of Xmas was juxaposed with the more hardcore on-screen action; to more recent episodes of Raw and the likes of the “Good Santa vs. Bad Santa” match between Mark Henry and Damien Sandow in 2013.

The WWE Christmas Collection sees Christmas come early to the WWE universe as “The Hardcore Legend” Mick Foley and his daughter Noelle (side note: I’m sure Foley’s daughter takes after her mothers side of ther family…) as they go on a quest to find Santa Claus, all the while reminiscing about classic WWE moments and matches from Christmas’ past. Mariah Carey Wants To Give Us The Next Great Christmas Movie

7 April 2015 7:27 PM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

It may be April, but evidently that.s not stopping New Line Cinemas from getting into the Christmas spirit. We know this because they have reportedly bought a pitch for an untitled Mariah Carey holiday movie. If the festive film isn.t entitled "All I Want For Christmas" then someone has made a huge mistake. Deadline was the first to report that the studio has purchased the idea from RatPac Entertainment . the production company created by Brett Ratner . and it.s believed that Mariah Carey will play a huge part in the film. But who is responsible? Well, it turns out that the hugely successful singer is behind the plan herself. Mariah Carey, who obviously has a thing for the Yuletide season, took her idea to Ratner herself. Clearly intrigued by the idea, Ratner got into contact with screenwriters David Diamond and David Weissman, as well as producer Jon Shestack. »
