Trivia

The reason Tommy is always depicted as adventurous and "brave" is because he was born premature. Hence his "fighting" spirit. See more »

Everyone loves them, everyone hates them. Since 1991, the Rugrats were not that popular, because REN & STIMPY took their spotlight. They got their popularity in 1996 followed by years of mass merchandising in '97, and 2 movies based on the show (one suceeded, and the other flopped). The show is about 4 little toddlers with wild imagination. (The show is the next MUPPET BABIES but with no movie scenes.) 80's children like MUPPET BABIES, but 90's children will enjoy it. Tommy is the brave adventurous 1 year old, Phil and Lil are the 2 year old twins that help Tommy (I'll never forget the episode where they baffled a plumber), Chuckie is the 2 year old coward, his step sister Kimmi is a free-spirit, Dil is just himself (cute eh?), and Angelica is a 3 year old bossy and super bratty character, and Susie is a 3 year old friendly girl. Reptar is a Klasky Csupo's answer to Toho's famous kaiju, and Dactar is spoofing Rodan. Those babies are so popular, that Klasky Csuop make shows spoofing their characters. (e.g. AAAAHHHH!!! REAL MONSTERS [1994-1996], THE WILD THORNBERRIES [1998-onwards], and ROCKET POWER [1999-onwards] I think that's why Rugrats was showing four years of reruns since 1993). The babies and grown ups are brilliantly voiced. Kaiju fans will love Reptar and Dactar, and any episode that spoofs monster movies. And to celebrate 10 years of hard work they made special where they're all grown up and a special where they show the making about the show. Keep up the good work there guys, I'll see more episodes soon.
