Valiant gets a new crossbow hoping he will finally have a chance against Rowanne at archery. But he leaves it behind when abruptly leaving with her to stop a runaway horse. Scholars from every land have been invited to Camelot to plan its future in fighting its enemies, but Merlin is troubled by the appearance of one from China which stirs feelings of guilt in him.
