Too bad Murder Most Horrid doesn't play anymore--at least where I am in Colorado. The PBS stations in various areas of the country are capricious in programming and a lot has to do with budget and local tastes. I, as an American, love this show.

Individual Americans really DO love British comedy, and MMH has a place in that honor. It's not a matter of putting down a whole people in order to build oneself up. Honestly, slander most horrid. Many of us--some of whom you'd never expect--could care less for what fares for standard testosterone fueled misanthropic comedy in the States. Really.

Alas! At least I have my memories of this fine series. As I recall, Dawn French plays a different character who buys the farm in the silliest, unexpected, or twisted of ways.

Anything by French and Saunders: I wish I thought of that!
