Trivia

This series is a remake of Johnny Speight's In Sickness and in Health (1985) which follows _'Till Death Us Do Part'_. In 1975, Berend Boudewijn had written a Dutch version of _'Till Death Us Do Part'_ also starring Rijk de Gooyer in the Alf Garnett role (then called Jan). His co stars were Anny de Lange as his wife Hennie, Maroesja Lacunes as daughter Marja and Wim Kouwenhoven & Wiesje Bouwmeester as their Jewish neighbors Max & Rosa. Six shows were filmed, but accusations of the show being anti-semitic led the KRO to shelve the show indefinitely.
