Storyline

Long ago the evil pirate Black Jack Savage ruled over the sea. However, he was finally captured and was hanged for his crimes in the courtyard of his own castle. Years later Barry Tarberry, a world famous millionaire and ruthless man has been charged with stock market fraud. To escape his crime he comes to a small island paradise. Only to soon discover he's trapped with all his accounts seized by the government. He now has only an old castle the locals believe is haunted. To Barry's dismay, the owner of the castle is the only one able to see Black Jack Savage, who is living on another spiritual plain until he saves 100 lives for those he killed. Jack tells Barry that he is heading for the same fate unless he too saves lives with Jack. Barry and Jack work together keeping the secret from the entire island, who now believe he is crazy. In the process Barry falls in love with Danielle, who cares more for her people than a love sick man. Also there is Logan "FX" Murphy, the local inventor... Pirate ghost Black Jack Savage must save 100 lives to save his soul.
17 August 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I really loved this movie. It was fun, exciting, adventurous and silly at times but it's a great family show. I wish they would put it out on DVD. If the TV show would have kept Stoney Jackson i'm sure it would have been a success. He brought that character to life. His animation, antics and chemistry with the cast was incredible. The fun starts when the millionaire Teaberry must leave the country to avoid arrest and buys a very reasonable, very large house which he finds later is haunted by the pirate ghost Black Jack Savage. He doesn't believe in ghosts until Jack 'introduces' himself. The two of them must save lives so they do not wind up in hell for the deaths they've caused by their deeds or actions. A scientific genius friend of Teaberry who invents the most incredible things helps out both willingly and unwillingly. I would highly recommend this movie if it ever gets released on DVD. I personally copied it on VHS when the pilot played on TV. I'm a huge fan of Stoney Jackson and this is the movie all fans should see.
