"Baby Talk" was a great show that should have stayed on the air for a few more years! I feel that it wasn't as good when Julia Duffy played Maggie, but it improved greatly after Mary Page Keller took over that role. A lot of people just couldn't see Julia Duffy as a single mother with a baby. Mary Page Keller had been known for playing Libby's sister, a single mother named Gina, on "Life Goes On," so she fit the role of Maggie much better. The addition of Scott Baio and Polly Bergen really improved the show. Tony Danza was perfect as the voice of Mickey! Observant viewers will notice that the characters in the "Look Who's Talking" movies, with the exception of James, had different first names. It's too bad that so many shows are not given a fair chance! What if the networks had given in and pulled "Happy Days" and "All in the Family" off the shelves after a few weeks? Can anyone imagine TV history without those shows?
