Storyline

The nephew of a librarian must go collect a 200 year old book, "The Book of Ulthar." that should have never been checked out by the Evil Count Orlock cause one of the spells in it could bring about the end of the world. During his trip to the castle, he meets Marissa, a gorgeous rock star and heir to the castle's fortune. There they must confront the only other heir to the fortune and the book, Uncle Byron; and Uncle Byron and his 3 adopted nieces all have very, very, very broad smiles. Great movie,Great idea,Great Body
18 October 2000 | by (Hendersonville,tennessee) – See all my reviews

Teri Copley may not have left Hollywood a great star but this movie did prove to be the highlight of her career. She plays a struggling singer who meets a guy tracking down her father and then discovers her family tree has some nuts in it.Her uncle seems to be a vampire with three hot-looking brides he passes off as his daughters.Thankfully, the good jokes out-number the bad ones as there's just the right amount of sexual innuendo to make this movie a real hoot,i.e. in one scene Teri, possessed by her ancestor says "or else this body will never put out for you." That there is reason alone to see this film.Vaughn, though, is oddly miscast;he's trying too hard to be funny.Steve Altman's character is a bit obnoxious and pretentious.Ace Mask and Angus Scrimm, though, are a hoot ! The best scenes are largely their's; particularly Ace's flashbacks, the seance and Scrimm turning into his other famous role.Steve Lawrence also hams up a number of scenes as an idiot constable.Ten out of ten stars.
