Parents Guide for
RoboCop 2 (1990) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Note: The number at the beginning of each section refers to how explicit that aspect of the film is on a scale of 1-10. The fraction at the end of the Frightening/Intense Scenes category is the total sum of all the sections out of the highest sum possible (50) and therefore an approximation of how much explicit content of any kind is in the film.

Rated R for strong violence throughout, language and brief nudity.

Rating: 1/10

Main character has flashbacks of his previous life, including scenes where he is intimate with his wife (no nudity or sex).

A woman is seen wearing only a bath robe, joining a man in a hot tub (no nudity is seen, no sex is implied)

Violence & Gore

Rating: 10/10

Many shootings, some of which are quite graphic. Other nasty moments include beatings, occasionally by kids on adults, a eye-gouging, and a scene of a guy getting his chest cut open.

There's also a surgery scene in which a man's brain is removed. The inside of the top of his skull is seen and his severed head can be seen moments later.

Rating: 6/10

around 20 or so f-word uses, maybe more words like shit, ass, bitch, and such are used a little more frequently

Rating: 8/10

The plot evolves around a fictional designer drug called Nuke, which has widespread use throughout the city. Many characters are shown using the drug by injecting it into their necks (the film doesn't mention specific effects, apart from euphoria and addiction). The villains are later shown attempting to negotiate a deal with the city's mayor to legalize the drug in exchange for funding.

Rating: 4/10

Gory violent scenes may be unsettling to some viewers.
