Gilbert Gottfried has signed up for a recurring role on Law & Order: Svu. The actor and stand-up comic will play an under-appreciated It technician, according to TV Guide. "Those [computer] scenes can be dry, so I thought he'd be interesting," explained Svu showrunner Warren Leight. Tentatively named Leo Gilbert, the character will first appear alongside Detectives Rollins (Kelli Giddish), Amaro (Danny Pino) and Tutuola (Ice-t) in this season's ninth episode, titled 'Lost Traveler'. Chuck Norris is the Worst-Reviewed Actor in Hollywood

12 June 2011 2:14 AM, PDT | | See recent Worst Previews news »

After analyzing countless reviews on RottenTomatoes, Slate magazine found out that Chuck Norris is the worst-reviewed actor, Jennifer Love Hewitt is the worst-reviewed actress and Dennis Dugan is the worst-reviewed director in Hollywood. The magazine only counted films (not documentaries) made since 1985 and considered people who have made/starred in at least ten movies. It wasn't easy for Chuck Norris to take the top spot, the man had to consistently deliver movies that critics hated. But thanks to "The Delta Force" (20% fresh rating), "Missing in Action" (23% fresh rating), and Top Dog (0% fresh rating), the actor ended up with an average score of 18.4% fresh rating. Eddie Griffin wasn't far off with 24.1%. Jennifer Love Hewitt's climb to the bottom was helped by such films as "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit" (7% fresh rating), "I know What You Did Last Summer" (35% fresh rating), "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer »

'Lost' Meets 'Iron Man,' 'Twilight' Meets Judd Apatow And Schwarzenegger Fallout In Today's Twitter-Wood

18 May 2011 9:25 AM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

What happens when "Lost" meets "Iron Man"? More specifically, what happens when two of the creative masterminds behind those projects — Damon Lindelof and Jon Favreau — sit down and interview each other? We'll find out soon, if their mutual Twitter teases are any indication.

Similarly, we could very well be on the cusp of a collision between "Twilight" and the Judd Apatow comedy empire, as one actor from the blood-sucking series tweeted his personal pitch to work with the "Bridesmaids" producer at some point in the future.

I'm @roundhoward and we have all that and more in today's Twitter-Wood for May 18, 2011.

"Lost" Meets "Iron Man," Part 1: @DamonLindelof @Jon_Favreau conducted a great interview today. If he wasn't an A-List Director and Producer, he'd make a helluva talk show host.

Gottfried Fired By Insurance Company Over Japan Tweets

14 March 2011 6:31 PM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Comedian Gilbert Gottfried has been axed as the voice behind one of the world's biggest insurance company campaigns after he made a series of crude jokes about the Japanese earthquake and tsunami on

The Problem Child star has been the longtime voice of Aflac Inc.'s duck mascot, but after he made jokes about the disaster, which devastated Japan's coastal towns on Friday, bosses at the insurance company have decided to cancel his contract.

A statement from an Aflac spokesperson reads, "Gilbert’s recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac. There is no place for anything but compassion and concern during these difficult times."

Aflac bosses are now holding a casting call to find a new voice for their duck mascot. »
