Storyline

Kwagga Robertse owns a farm shop in the fictional Southern African country of Nambabwe and usually cons foreign tourists by pretending to kill a lion, thus earning him the nickname 'Urumbo' (Lion Killer) from the country's natives. Kwagga is upset when the UN sends a platoon of incompetent soldiers with the United Nations Transition Assistance Group (U.N.T.A.G.), to monitor the peace process, and ensure free and fair elections after the Nambabwean War for Independence. The U.N.T.A.G's American leader, Major Bradick D. Mackay and his second-in-command, Captain Zapman are offered a diamond worth a lot of money in the U.S., and they must pay 200,000 USD to Duan Robertse, Kwagga's competitive brother trying to buy a farm left to them by their dead father. Very Funny
16 August 2005 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I lived in Singapore in 1992 when I first saw this movie with my younger brother. It was very funny, in fact I laughed so hard over this film I had to go back and see it. My brother and I went back and saw the movie the next day, and a couple of days later we saw it again. It has some very funny elements and without betraying the plot I think Leon Schuster did his best work in this film. It was similar in style to the series "Gods Must Be Crazy" but was very independent. Its main focal point was making fun of the way the United Nations sometimes handles their "security details", and the movie never takes itself seriously.
