4/10

A man and a woman kiss; the camera pans across their bodies as we see them caress one another (we see part of the woman's bare breast through her nightgown), sex is implied

There are two scenes of implied oral sex; a woman lowers herself to her knees in front of a man's crotch and another scene where a man is pushing a woman's head into his crotch, but this scene is very quick and is easily unnoticeable

A close up of a woman hiding a gun in her panties

Some sexual references including characters saying the phrase "busting my balls" many times throughout the film

A man jokingly says "Go f--k your mother!," twice

A woman asks a man if he wants to "f--k" her

Characters snort cocaine in several scenes.

Many scenes in which characters consume alcohol and smoke excessively.

The second half of the film revolves around the deterioration of the protagonist as a result of cocaine, therefore the references are strong and regular. The portrayal of drug use is very negative throughout.

7/10

The violence in the movie has the official and infamous reputation of being very brutal, frightening, and intense.

Tommy DeVito is a ruthless psychopathic mobster who kills people as if they were nothing (usually when people criticize him); this can be seen in a scene where he shoots a defenseless waiter in the chest repeatedly.

The opening scene may disturb some viewers as it shows a gangster in a trunk with his face bloodied and begging not be killed. He is stabbed repeatedly with a large knife and then shot four times.

Total Parental Guide Content: 39/50

GoodFellas is a very brutal and cold film. It is however a masterpiece of film. So, with those in mind, this film should be ok for people 15 and up.
