Mike Flanagan’s Before I Wake Coming to Netflix in the Us on January 5th

Horror fans have been looking forward to seeing Mike Flanagan's Before I Wake since the film was teased in trailers back in 2015, but bankruptcy issues at Relativity Media delayed and ultimately brought the movie's release to a halt. Since that time, Flanagan directed two well-received films for Netflix, and the streaming service has now revealed that they will bring Before I Wake out of film purgatory and into the warm glow of the TV screen.

Netflix revealed the exciting Before I Wake news in their full announcement of titles being added to their streaming lineup in January of 2018. Starring Jacob Tremblay, Thomas Jane, and Kate Bosworth, Before I Wake will be available to watch on the streaming service beginning Friday, January 5th, marking its first official release in the Us (it was previously released internationally, including in the UK by Netflix).

Other titles being added to Netflix (in the Us) include 30 Days of Night,

Brace yourself for a wave of CGI explosion as new Geostorm trailer arrives

Author: Zehra Phelan

Independence Day scribe, Dean Devlin, makes his directorial debut in the forthcoming disaster movie, Geostorm. And to give us a further taste of what to expect another trailer has just dropped.

Related: Geostorm first trailer.

The new trailer gives us another impressive look at the visual wonderment of CGI in creating a world under threat by natural forces that can’t and shouldn’t be controlled by manmade machines and Gerard Butler’s race against time, yet again, to save the world from impending danger.

It’s funny how life sometimes imitates art, anyone would think Donald Trump may have gotten hold of the script for Geostorm in which satellites are built to control global climate change and took it quite literally, tweaked it a little for his own mind to digest when he boldly stated climate change wasn’t caused by humans.

Geostorm has a cast that includes Gerard Butler,

Dan Aykroyd blames Paul Feig for Ghostbusters reboot troubles

Although there was an incredible amount of hate thrown at Sony’s Ghostbusters reboot from the moment it was first announced, the resulting film did receive a fairly decent reception when it hit cinemas last year. However, a box office gross of just $229 million from a $144 million budget derailed the studio’s plans for a sequel, and subsequently left the franchise in limbo once again.

Appearing on the UK’s Sunday Brunch (via SlashFilm), original Ghostbusters star and series creator Dan Aykroyd – who served as a producer on the reboot – was asked for his thoughts on the film, and while he was full of praise for the cast, he certainly wasn’t too kind to director Paul Feig:

“The girls are great in it. Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig – what a wonderful, wonderful players they are – and Leslie Jones. I was really happy with the movie, but it cost too much.

Trevor Reviews Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish [Criterion Collection Blu-Ray Review]

In 1983, while adapting The Outsiders, S.E. Hinton’s famous novel about young, full-blooded Oklahoma gangs with names like Ponyboy and Sodapop, Francis Ford Coppola was dissatisfied. He didn’t like the style of his adaptation, finding the color and direction too saccharine; here was a film about hard times that risked making those times look like the good old days. During production he started reading another S.E. Hinton young adult book about young, full-blooded Oklahoma gangs with names like Motorcycle Boy, Smokey, and Rusty James: Rumble Fish. While finishing work on the former, Coppola dreamed of filming the latter, which he found personal and saw as the perfect avenue for artistic expression.

The story of Rumble Fish takes us back to the rougher, poorer areas of Tulsa, Oklahoma. High schooler Rusty James is trying to fill a hole that started to fill up space when his brother, Motorcycle Boy,

Andy Garcia Reacts to Fidel Castro’s Death: I Feel ‘Deep Sorrow’ for All Cuban People ‘That Have Suffered’

Andy Garcia Reacts to Fidel Castro’s Death: I Feel ‘Deep Sorrow’ for All Cuban People ‘That Have Suffered’
In the wake of former Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s death, Andy Garcia expressed his “deep sorrow” for the Cuban people who have lived under Castro’s rule, in a statement shared with Variety on Saturday.

Garcia, the actor and director known for such films as “The Godfather: Part III” and “The Untouchables,” was born in Havana, Cuba.

“It is necessary for me to express the deep sorrow that I feel for all the Cuban people both inside and outside of Cuba that have suffered the atrocities and repression caused by Fidel Castro and his totalitarian regime,” Garcia wrote. “The promises of his so-called revolution of pluralism and democracy, were and continue to be a false promise and a betrayal of all basic human rights.”

Paul Feig would be “surprised” if Ghostbusters gets a sequel

With the film now out on Blu-ray and DVD, Paul Feig has been talking about his Ghostbusters remake and his thoughts on the project overall. It had a lot of detractors upon its announcement and the mediocre release and box office figures did little to help its cause, but despite the post-credits tease of a sequel it’s likely we won’t see this batch of Ghostbusters bustin’ again any time soon.

“If the studio was knocking on the door to do another one, I’d have to think about it,” the director told Den of Geek. “We had so much fun, and I’d love to work with that team again. But I would be very surprised.”

It’s unsurprising that Sony aren’t knocking on the door for another movie. The film was denied a release in the now lucrative Chinese market (a market which single-handily saved Warcraft

Paul Feig still hoping to make a Ghostbusters sequel

A few weeks ago Paul Feig suggested that he doesn’t believe there’s been any talk within Sony about a sequel to his Ghostbusters reboot, but speaking to The Daily Beast, the director has revealed that he’s keen to get the cast back together for a follow-up, as well as discussing the positive reception to the movie following its home-entertainment release in October.

“That’s up to the studio because they have to pay for it,” said Feig when asked about the chances of Ghostbusters 2. “Nobody’s called me. But I love those characters and I know they are now heroes and mean a lot to a lot of people, so in a perfect world it would be great if we could see them bust more ghosts, kick more ass, and be awesome again.”

“Now that the movie’s kind of past all that stuff and we
