The Sexiest Movie Ever Made - PLEASE Get This Out On DVD!!
19 July 2005 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Unbelievably hot romantic comedy that's the stuff of dreams; so many movies have the look in ads like they're going to approach this level but few ever have. Deliciously, jaw-droppingly sexy and also actually hits the right buttons on the romantic, comedic, and fantasy elements. To my great relief, there is no crudeness to this film. I feared at first it might have some tasteless content of the sort that's weakened other promising comedies, but no such bad luck. I was afraid they were going to use the, uh, heavier girl as the butt of mean-spirited jokes and cheap attempts at humor, but no, she's just part of the group, and a likable part. She has her comedic bits, as do all the characters, but it's not mean. In Dream Trap you're laughing With the characters, not at them - even the villains of the movie, who are really nothing more than jerks and meddlers, nothing detestable. Great photography and production (I don't know how well this will have held up on VHS that's been out of print so long; all the copies may have aged with time, so we NEED a DVD release!), real humor (which may confuse some who expect a movie like this to mine its comedy from such material as eating the most appalling stuff imaginable or having excessive washroom difficulties), the adventure and thrill of romance and multiple drop-dead gorgeous babes flashing a LOT more than smiles in more scenes than it takes to gather footage for a 30-second commercial to deceive the viewer into thinking they'll be getting a much more revealing movie. All the time spared by skipping the crass 'humor', skipping the enormous doses of 'attitude' and skipping the general sniping is put to very fine use here in the 'Sexy', 'Romantic and 'Genuinely Funny' departments. Fans of beautiful girls and female exposure will be delighted and there's even some (admittedly much less) male exposure to make things more interesting for the girls who want to check out this pure-hearted, sparkling comedy gem. If only they made more movies like this, the world would be a happier place.
