A movie starring two famous actors who happen to be married in real-life: On paper, it sounds like it should be a sure-fire win. In reality? It’s not that simple.

Tom Cruise Not Dating Vanessa Kirby Despite Recent Reports

23 March 2017 3:50 PM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

Tom Cruise is not dating his Mission: Impossible co-star, Vanessa Kirby.

A source close to Kirby tells Et that recent reports claiming the two are dating are simply "not true."

Watch: Tom Cruise Meets Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh -- See the Pics!

"Production hasn't even started yet," the source says, shooting down rumors that Cruise has tapped the 28-year-old actress as wife No. 4.

Kirby has landed a role in Cruise's upcoming Mission: Impossible 6, which begins filming next month in Paris -- though according to In Touch, Cruise has been a big fan of the British actress since seeing her in Netflix's The Crown.

While Et's source slammed reports that the two are dating, Cruise definitely has a history of romancing his co-stars.

The 54-year-old actor met his second wife, Nicole Kidman, on the 1990 set of their film, Days of Thunder, shortly after he divorced his first wife, actress Mimi Rogers. Ten years after Cruise »

Exclusive Interview: Michael Rooker Talks The Belko Experiment

16 March 2017 11:21 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Michael Rooker and James Gunn have been quite the talented tandem. They first hooked up on Gunn’s Slither in 2006 and have been great friends and creative compatriots ever since. Rooker’s career was pushed to a whole new level after he appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy and he’ll soon be seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Before the Marvel sequel hits screens in May, though, we have a chance to witness another Gunn-Rooker collaboration, the bombastically brilliant The Belko Experiment.

The kill or be killed office-based horror flick finds Rooker as the engineer of a building which everyone becomes trapped inside, as a voice comes across the speakers informing them that each soul in the building has a bomb implanted in their head and if they don’t do what they’re told, it will go off. And what they’re forced to do… is kill. »

Newswire: Here’s what’s coming to Amazon Prime in April

16 March 2017 7:57 AM, PDT | avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news »

April is an exciting time over at Amazon Prime. Not only do we get a new season of Catastrophe, the service is making some of our favorite movies of last year available. Now you’ll be able to watch the likes of The Handmaiden and American Honey, both of which ended up on The A.V. Club’s best of 2016 list, from the comfort of your home. Additionally, Anna Biller’s The Love Witch—which we called “a nuanced statement on gender relations whose morals are as flexible as its formal qualities are rigid”—will also drop, although if you can you should seek out a 35mm screening of that one. Elsewhere, Amazon is unveiling another set of Bosch episodes, and a docuseries about Hugh Hefner called American Playboy.

Available April 1

Almost Famous

Chaplin (1992)

Days Of Thunder

Eddie Murphy Raw

Election (1999)

Ella Enchanted

Kong: Skull Island Trailer 3 Drops!

27 February 2017 11:38 AM, PST | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

I will admit, I was not onboard with Kong: Skull Island until I finally got around to watching the 1st trailer and Wow, was I impressed. This final trailer is amazing, and it shows us quite a few treats. The biggest treat of the entire film is the perfect cast. Check it out here:

First, John C. Reilly quite possibly one of the most versatile actors ever to be born. I think Days of Thunder is the first film I saw him in, where he plays a slightly comedic, yet mixed, role. Of course, we can skip over quite a bit of movies and go to Step Brothers, but if we do we miss some of his dramatic acting like in Gangs of New York, Magolia, and possibly even in Boogie Nights (debatable role there). We recently saw him in Guardians of the Galaxy, where he has a level of dry humor, »

Oscars 2017: Hacksaw Ridge’s Kevin O’Connell Wins Best Sound Mixing on 21st Nomination

26 February 2017 6:32 PM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

It finally happened for Kevin O’Connell.

At Sunday night’s 89th annual Academy Awards, the veteran sound mixer won Best Sound Mixing for Hacksaw Ridge alongside Peter Grace, Robert Mackenzie and Andy Wright. The victory is O’Connell’s first after 21 total nominations; until Sunday, O’Connell was the most-nominated person in Oscars history without a victory.

O’Connell dedicated the big win to his mother, Skippy.

“A special thank you tonight to my mother, Skippy O’Connell, who 39 years ago got me a job in sound,” O’Connell said. “And when I asked her how I could thank her, »

The Hollywood Reporter

“I’ve never been more appreciative, humbled and just overall excited about the fact that I’ve been nominated,” says Hacksaw Ridge sound mixer Kevin O’Connell of his 21st Oscar nomination — which he shares with Peter Grace, Robert Mackenzie and Andy Wright — as we sit down at The Hollywood Reporter to record an episode of THR‘s ‘Awards Chatter’ podcast. “I don’t want to say I took it for granted in the past, but I certainly don’t take it for granted anymore.”

O’Connell, 59, has worked in Hollywood for nearly 40 years, and is one of the most respected practitioners of his craft. But he is best known for a dubious distinction: in Oscar history, no person has accumulated more nominations without ever winning. His noms span 33 years, from 1983’s Terms of Endearment through Mel Gibson‘s 2016 war film, »
