Kenny and Do Do just didn't work here
ebiros218 January 2013
The movie seems divided, and not coherent in many ways. There's the comedy that going on between Kenny B and Do Do Cheng, and there's another plot that involves vicious gangs that don't seem to belong in the same movie. Also, chemistry between Do Do and Kenny is non- existent. So it's just not clear what this movie is trying to do.

Unlikely for D&B movies that usually has modern clean looks, this movie doesn't look modern, but looks like a throwback to yesteryears as far as the story is concerned.

The chemistry between Do Do and other actors asides from Kenny doesn't seem to be good either, and the movie just drags on. It's amazing that with this many talented actors starring in one movie, the movie still turns out to be bad.

The biggest fault is that Kenny and Do Do doesn't match, and their style doesn't mix well. They're of course fine actors on their own. Asides from that, the production of this movie is not up to the usual high standards of D&B movie. So something didn't happen right, and the producers just dropped the ball on this project.

There are many other movies that any one of these actors did well, and it's recommended that you watch those instead of this one.
