Storyline

Two men on weekend outing assist country lass in trouble but find themselves in a stew. One is killed, one severely injured who recovers at the Campbell cabin. He learns the simplicity of country living and falls in love with daughter. She explains, mysteriously, that although she cares, this cannot be; the feud is coming', as it always does. Only after his own death, during the feud, does he realize that the Campbell and McDonald clans have been 50 years dead! He has, however, broken the cycle of the ongoing feud and now all, him included, may rest in peace. Written by Dr. Cosmo; Esq. <drcosmo@bprn5.bloomberg.com>

Nice for Cambell Scott fans
27 December 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Sort of like Brigadoon meets the Hatfields & McCoys... This is a ghost story and a romance story wrapped up in one, all set in the backwoods of God-Knows-Where. Cambell Scott stumbles upon a mysterious family embroiled in a feud, and -- this is not a spoiler -- falls in love with the beautiful daughter. (Florence Nightingale syndrome.) While no one would peg this as Oscar material, it is as nicely written and directed as any grade B movie. More importantly this is a must-have for any Campbell Scott fan, as it is probably his first starring role, released right before Longtime Companion. As of late 2007, this movie can be found at Amazon or on E-Bay for cheap.
